All of Yorick’s Court Jesters have been on the other end of submitting work to publishers, and we know that it can be a rough ride putting yourself out there and repeatedly risking rejection. Unfortunately, rejection is often an unavoidable part of submitting work, and though we take as many submissions as we can, sadly we can’t take them all.

In an effort to help make the process easier for you, we’re sharing Yorick’s own writing rubric. When we receive a submission, we use these criteria to assess what we’re reading and help us decide whether or not to accept it for publishing. The more boxes that a submission ticks, the more likely it is we’ll accept it for publishing in one of our episodes.

And of course, check out our previous episodes as well for ideas on what we like to produce.

We hope you find it helpful!
